The WideCombi transport system has been specifically developed to meet the requirements of the North American market. Axle Spacing and Weight have been carefully considered along with the ability of the trailer to expand from 15’ to 18’ to 20’ wide. Optimal Payload / Tare Weight ratio is achieved in a stable lightweight assembly. A specially designed Split type frame is the backbone of the WideCombi.

In its basic design, the WideCombi transport system consists of bogies with 2 or 4 axle lines which can be coupled to each another. A gooseneck or tow bar system can be used to provide a connection to the tractor unit. For low load transportation, there is the possibility of integrating a loading bridge between the modules. The feature rich WideCombi trailer will provide a wide range of over the road possibilities.

SCHEUERLE’s Tested and proven Pendulum Axle technology is at the very heart of this innovative trailer. The twin-tired axles are supported on strong axle arm. The hydraulic cylinders in the pendulum axles guarantee not only large axle compensation but also tremendous piston displacement in order to drive under stationary loads which are then lifted into the required driving position. In connection with the precise and smoothly-operating steering system, the Scheuerle pendulum axle bearing ensures easy and simple maneuvering even when negotiating tight corners utilizing the large steering angle of up to 60 degrees.
